Address: 171 East 4800 South, Murray, UT. This building was originally the Murray Methodist Church when built in the 1890s. The Methodists moved out, and this was the home of the Inner Light Center, a meditation-centered group, for a while. In the early 2000s, the Salt Lake Society of Friends (the Quakers) purchased it and remodeled it for a meeting house. The Quakers had organized their meeting decades before and had met in rented facilities or private homes in Salt Lake City for decades. |
