This building became known as the Lawson-Heckel Building. John W. Lawson operated a harness and saddle making business located here at 5045 S. State Street about 1885. He and his wife lived above his shop. Lawson sold the property to Robert Heckel and the store later became Heckel Shoe Store. The store became Don Blair Photography in the 1990s. The building is Victorian Eclectic. |
