Murray Coal and Lumber Co. about 1915

Murray Coal and Lumber Co. was operated by Frank C. Howe, who maintained an office and yard on State STreet just north of Vine, as well as this second yard on the south side of west 4800 South, just west of Box Elder Street. Arthur worked for the company as a yardman and foreman for about five years from 1911 until 1915, inclusive. These yards sold lumber to customers in Murray and the surrounding area; even into Big and Little Cottonwood canyons.
