Liberty Jail. Located in Liberty, Missouri. While in prison at Liberty, during the winter of 1838-39, the Prophet Joseph Smith directed the operation of the Church. It was from here that the Prophet wrote to the Church the information we now have as Sections 121, 122 & 123 of the Doctrine and Covenants U.H.Q. Vol. 48 Winter 1980. |
