Description |
View of Eureka street during a flood. The Tintic Mercantile Company was owned by the McCrystal family. Second building from left houses the Elite Bar owned by Dan Martin. A saloon known only as the Finn Salon. Third building, Elk Livery, later used as a storage barn for Hefferman and Thompson Store. Next building, a barber shop followed by a meat market owned by Worthlin Meats. Eureka was settled when gold was discovered in 1869. More than six communities were settled to provide housing to miners. |
