Description The historic state (territorial) house was begun in 1851. The fifth session of the legislature was the only full one held in the building. At the eighth session (1858) it was decided to adjourn to Salt Lake City. The building was turned over to Fillmore City and Millard County and was used for offices, schools, social and religious gatherings and for a time as a jail
