Two color scanned images of front and back of sepia photograph of Jason Lee Wight, wife Mary Jane Witt, Ira Wight, Letha Wight with history and description on the backside of the photograph as follows: Thought you would like to have a picture of the house and barn of the Wight place. House was built in 1874. The first house they had was on the main road near the railroad. It was made of logs and our grandpa was the first to be born there. They had a dug well and big pond. This was the 1st 80 acres Great-grandpa got from the government as homesteading it since he was in the Civil War. The deed has President Grant's signature on it. Great-grandpa, Jason Lee; great-grandma, Mary Jane; uncle, Ira , and aunt Letha are the people. |
