Description |
This bottle globe is made of over 4,000 recycled plastic bottles enough to circle Gallivan Plaza more than 23 times if laid end to end. Salt Lake City has recently made an effort to reduce the amount of wasted bottles by encouraging city employees not to drink bottled water. We are one of only four cities in the nation that encourages this practice. Despite these efforts, our city and country are still burdened with an enormous amount of wasted plastic bottles. Americans throw more than 22 billion bottles in the trash every year. Let us unite in this New Year to limit our use of bottled water and recycle all of our used plastic bottles. |
