Description |
Alfred Westover, born May 8, 1851, came through Ashley Valley in 1874 to bring supplies to the Ute Indian Reservation in Whiterocks. He came back to the valley to settle in 1876 where he met Clara Crouch and was married. His wife died giving birth to their first son. He remarried and had six children. He helped to construct the Rock Point Canal. He was one of the men who traveled for mail and supplies during the hard winter. He died July 20, 1920 |
