Description The world-wide introduction of mask-wearing and social distancing during the CoVID-19 pandemic resulted in a reduction in many seasonal viral illness (1). There has long been debate about whether Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA) has a seasonal or infectious trigger (2,3). We observed a decline in new presentations of GCA in 2020 and reviewed incidence of GCA on 3 continents before and during the pandemic.
