Description Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculo neuropathy is a chronic acquired demyelinating neuropathy that involves damage to predominantly peripheral nerve myelin. Patients typically present with symmetric proximal and distal weakness, length dependent loss of large fiber sensation and areflexia. Multiple variant presentations are known, however headaches and papilledema as an initial symptom remain an unusual presentation of the disease.
