Description Foster Kennedy syndrome (FKS) is the combination of unilateral optic atrophy and contralateral optic disc edema due to a compressive mass. [1] Pseudo-Foster Kennedy syndrome (PFKS) is more common than FKS and is classically caused by sequential non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION). [2] Pseudo-pseudo-Foster Kennedy syndrome (PPFKS) was termed for two separate disease processes leading to the FKS presentation, such as NAION and meningioma. [3] Diabetic papillopathy is one cause of disc edema that has been rarely reported in PFKS but never as an etiology of PPFKS.
