Description The clinical appearance of Bartonella henselae associated neuroretinitis is thought to develop primarily from prelaminar optic nerve head inflammation leading to disk edema and serous retinal detachment can occur. A macular star classically develops, however many cases without star formation have been reported. We report a case of extensive serous macular detachment without clinically apparent optic disk changes or macular star appearance.
