Description Patients with vague visual complaints may have unrealized visual field defects. Detecting defects with confrontational fields is an important diagnostic skill. Homonymous defects are particularly important as they are associated with stroke, tumor, or trauma in approximately 90% of cases. However, other rare causes of homonymous defects must be considered.
