Description Viral infection is well known to be associated with pediatric optic neuritis (ON) and some of adult ON. The optic neuritis study group reported that 26.1% of ON patients have a viral syndrome preceding visual loss. This study was conducted to characterize optic neuritis associated with viral infection.
