Description |
The Octopus perimeter has proven itself very useful and accurate in recording field defects that are sometimes difficult to find in patients with early neuro-ophthalmic disorders. Such things as the optic nerve disease in multiple sclerosis can be very hard to quantitate in field testing. Early bitemporal defects in chiasmal disease are notoriously hard to plot, but are found with relative ease by static means. False scotomas and missed defects are occasionally found, but are very rare. |
