Description Physicians see many patients because of headaches. These patients may be referred for eye examination or neurological examination, and the consulting physician needs to have in mind not only the common causes of headache and their relationship to the visual system, but also needs to be aware of some special forms of headache that can be caused by.eye disease or associated with significant ocular complications. We need to consider further the special syndromes that have ocular significance in which headache plays a prominent role in the initial manifestations. Finally, the role of the physician in treatment that of itself can cause headaches needs to be considered. 'Headache and the eye' is an everyday problem that we all need to think about.
