Description Tumor metastasis to the optic nerve sheath is rare and is associated with significant morbidity and a poor rognosis. Bilateral optic nerve sheath involvement is exceedingly uncommon, but one possible route for this devastating complication is through the cerebrospinal fluid in cases of leptomeningeal carcinomatosis.
