Description Recurrent headaches occur in up to 23% of children less than 15 years of age, 1 and headaches meeting the criteria of the International Headache Society for migraine are surprisingly common. The prevalence of migraine in an outpatient population of children up to 10 years of age is 4- 10% for both boys and girls. However, it is slightly more common in boys than in girls age 3-7 years. This sexual predilection reverses after the age of 8 years.
