Subject Intracranial Pressure; Zucker Fatty Rats; Sprague-Dawley Rats; Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension; Baseline Intracranial Pressure
Description The Zucker Fatty (ZF) rat has a genetic propensity to obesity, fertility disorders and endocrinologic abnormalities. Many of the biological traits of the ZF rat resemble the profile of 'typical' patients with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH). Thus, the ZF rat is an excellent candidate to serve as an animal model for IIH.
