Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is a disorder of increased intracranial pressure associated with papilledema, no focal neurological deficits, increased intracranial pressure on lumbar puncture, and normal neuroimaging. The incidence of IIH in this country is about 1 in 100,000 of the general population; however, the incidence rises to 19/100,000 in obese women of 159 childbearing age. |
