Description Children with cortical visual impairment often have ocular motor abnormalities such as exotropia and conjugate gaze deviation. These problems are generally assumed to be cortical in origin, however, neuroimaging can show injury to subcortical regions involved in ocular motor control as well. We therefore sought to determine whether the subcortical vestibulo-ocular reflexes (VORs) can be compromised in children with CVI.
