Description Previous studies (1-4) showed that impaired retinal ganglion cell function associated with thinning of peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) and combined ganglion cell and inner plexifrom layer (GCIPL) in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). As multiple intra-retinal layers may be affected in MS, studying the associations between Pattern Electroretinogram (PERG) and various intra-retinal layer thicknesses may provide a better understanding of the PERG measurements and their applications in monitoring disease progression.
