Description Giant cell arteritis (GCA) is a large-vessel vasculitis in elderly Caucasian. Arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (AAION) is the most common ophthalmic manifestation. We report unilateral visual loss with complete ophthalmoplegia, mimicking orbital apex syndrome as a rare presentation of GCA.
