Description Paraneoplastic optic neuropathy (PON) is a rare disease entity, it is estimated to occur in less than 0.01% of cancer patients. Despite this, disk edema and associated changes in visual acuity may be the first sign of malignancy. Thus, awareness of these disease entity is vitally important to the ophthalmology community.
