Ong, Chai-ok, and Shin-au-av go travel to a distant mountain with the goal of gathered pine nuts to bring home. However, the people of the mountains deceived Shin-au-av and gave him seeds for a Cedar trees instead. This story explains why Cedar trees grow in the lower hills and Pine on the higher mountains |
