This photograph is a copy of the original and is in good condition. On the back of the photograph, inscribed in pen, is: "Jesse S. Boughton," "Jesse Scott Boughton," "1944-1953". There is also yellow adhesive brushed on the back of the photo. Boughton served as the Acting Dean of Westminster and Professor of Philosophy and Psychology from September 1, 1944, to June 30, 1945, and as Dean of Westminster from September 1, 1945, to February 28, 1953. He was born in 1896, was an active member of the Presbyterian Church, and served in WWI. Before serving as Dean of Westminster College, Boughton filled numerous roles including professorships at Gettysburg College, Shurleff College, and Oakland City College. |
