Presbytery of Utah at American Fork, 1894

A large group gathering of the Presbytery of Utah at American Fork in August of 1894. The photograph is taken outdoors with the congregation posing on the lawn in front of what looks to be the church building situtated at almost dead center in the background. The church building is a brick structure with a vaulted roof. Attached to the side of the building is a bell tower which surpasses the vaulted roof and dominates the entire structure; the bell can be seen at the top of the tower. The background consists of trees, a white picket fence at the far right and on the left are more trees which blend into the church building. The foreground is grass containing a few bald spots. The Congregation sits or stands clustered around together on the grass and they are dressed in Sunday attire. The men are in assorted dark and light colored suit jackets, shirts, and neckties. Some of the men are either wearing hats upon their heads or have them in their hands. The women are wearing an assorted variety of light and dark colored dresses with a few of them wearing hats. There are some children in the photograph as well.
