Show In this photograph there are two men that are viewing a section of wall and door. They are facing away from the photographer. There are two lamps providing light for the men. The walls in the room are blackened, cracked, and the paint coming off of the walls. The floor of the room is covered in ash and wood. The back of the picture identifies this as Carlson Hall after the fire. |
Further Information |
On the back of the photo there is a stamp that reads "Received OCT 8 1978 The Salt Lake Treasure Library" there is also a hand written section that says "Fire in Carlson Hall, 1978. T. Kelly". The fire in Converse Hall was on March 12, 1926. It started in the upper stories and destroyed many of the classrooms and the library that was stored there. |
