Graduating Class of the Salt Lake Collegiate Institute

A group photograph of the 1894 graduating class of the Salt Lake Collegiate Institute, Salt Lake City, Utah. The photograph includes four young women and one young man. The young man is sitting in a chair and two young women are sitting at his side with space between them for two young women to stand. The young man is dressed in a dark suite and his hair is parted at the side. The young women are dressed in elegant light colored, probably white, dresses. They all have their hair pulled back on their heads. Two of the young women have corsages and the young man has a bountonniere. They are all holding scrolls, with ribbons around them (most likely their diplomas). Three of the women are holding baskets filled with flowers, and the young man is holding a nosegay. The other young woman is holding a single rose. Baskets of flowers are partially visible at their feet at the bottom of the photograph.
