Show A large studio photograph encased in a brown overleaf flap cover of Reverend Duncan James McMillan a prominent Presbyterian minister and missionary who came to the Utah frontier in the mid-1870s. McMillan is sitting, cross legged, at an antique desk with his head propped against the thumb and index fingers of his right hand as his right elbow rests upon the desk; his left hand rests clenched in his lap. McMillan is wearing a buttoned, dark double breasted suit coat with a pin on the lapel. He wears a light colored shirt with cuff links and a patterned multi-colored long necktie. McMillan's hair is combed to one side and he wears a thick moustache. His head is turned toward the camera; however, he looks away from it. The background is a studio induced dark colored backdrop. |
