Guide to the Westminster College awards publications, 1982-1998

Annually, an Appreciation Awards Gala is held in January, to recognize years-of-service staff and Westminster Community Awards. Staff and faculty members are encouraged to nominate other Westminster faculty and staff for any of the awards. The awards are announced at the annual Appreciation Awards Gala in the following categories:

• Student Advocate Award
• Spirit of Westminster Award
• Community Outreach Award
• Westminster Leadership Award
• Department of Distinction Award

An article on the Distinguished Alumni awards at Westminster College, with a list of past recipients, was published in the May 2008 Alumni Newsletter entitled "Making a difference : call for nominations of distinguished alumni".

This small collection consists of brochures, flyers, invitations, programs and other publications related to award ceremonies recognizing alumni, college employees and other distinguished individuals associated with Westminster College, Salt Lake City, Utah. The materials date from 1982-1998. They were used for informational purposes related to the specific award and recipients. The collection also contains information on the individual ceremonies (date, place, and location), biographical information on recipients, and lists of past award recipients.
