Description |
Address: 740 South 300 West, Salt Lake City. The old LDS 5th Ward building, constructed in 1910 and vacated in 1975, served various functions through 2019, but stood empty in early 2024. On Sunday, March 31, the historic building underwent an unauthorized partial demolition, which was halted by Salt Lake City officials. Untouched were the murals on a wall next to the parking lot, which date from the period when the building housed a Tibetan Buddhist temple. |
