Description |
Address: 4900 South Wasatch Street, Murray, UT. This church was originally the home of the Saint Vincent de Paul parish of the Roman Catholic Church's Salt Lake Diocese, established in 1925. The cornerstone was laid on May 30, 1927, and the church was dedicated on Jan. 2, 1928. When that parish moved to a new building in 1976, their former home was given to a new parish formed to serve Catholics in Utah of Lebanese descent who observe the Maronite Rite. Saint Jude Maronite Catholic Church is a Parish of the Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon, based in St. Louis, Missouri. The congregation bought a new building in Taylorsville in 2019 and began holding services there in 2020. The historic building was put up for lease. |
