Photograph of and document for a silk dress (bodice and skirt) owned by Mrs. Thomas (Alice Maud Call) Burton of Afton, Wyoming. First worn as a wedding dress by Elizabeth Henri when she married John Pill in 1802. Brought to Utah in 1855 by her daughter, Caroline, and worn by her at her wedding when she married Augustus Farnham in 1857 at Salt Lake City, Utah, and used again in 1876 by her daughter, Alice, mother of the owner. Photo taken in Salt Lake City, borrowed by owner's daughter, Mrs. Arno A. Steinicke |
