Scan of a 57-page document summarizing the comments of the delegates to the conference on public welfare hosted by New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller at Arden House, Harriman, New York, in November of 1967. This compilation was prepared in advance of the conference and sent to the delegates to facilitate the discussion at the meeting. The delegates were a cross-section of leaders in business, labor, politics, welfare and academia, and included economist Milton Friedman, Senator Jacob Javits, George Meany, Arjay Miller of Ford Motor Company, and Dr. Ellen Winston, consultant for the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare. |
