Douglas for an analysis and opinion on the fiscal, monetary and debt management policies followed by the new Eisenhower administration and by the Federal Reserve Board. Also a copy of pages from the Congressional Record of August 3, 1953, containing the text of Eccles's analysis and resulting discussion in Congress, related correspondence, and a printed pamphlet by the Federal Reserve System containing a speech entitled, "The transition to free markets" by Federal Reserve Chairman William McChesney Martin, given on 13 April 1953. |
