Eccles, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, following his speech at the New Jersey Bankers Association Convention in Atlantic City on May 13, 1938, and replies from Eccles or his office. Many of the letters, dating from December of 1937 through April of 1938, were in response to the substance of the speech, and in his replies Eccles would sometimes respond to the comments and elaborate on the subject. |
