Scans of letters to and from Federal Reserve Chairman Marriner S. Eccles and staff regarding an address he gave at the annual convention of the Illinois Bankers Association in Saint Louis, Missouri, on 2 May 1946. Includes an article from the May 1946 issue of The Great Lakes Banker with a supposed transcript of Eccles' address, and subsequent letters about this article. Eccles called it "a very much garbled report of my entirely impromptu talk," and expressed regret that he had not been able to review and correct it before publication.
