About the Artist |
"Nonny Hogrogian (born May 7, 1932) is an American author and illustrator. She was born on May 7, 1932 in New York City, and graduated from Hunter College. "King of the Kerry Fair" was the first book she illustrated, in 1960. She was awarded the Caldecott Medal twice. She first won the award in 1966 for "Always Room for One More" by Sorche Nic Leodhas, then again in 1972 for "One Fine Day", an old Armenian tale that she retold and illustrated." -- from Wikipedia, 10-1-2012 |
