Tom Martinez discusses his family's background and his father's work as a teacher and in a steel mill. He talks about his early interest in music and learning to play the trombone and guitar. He talks about working at Hallmark as a die-cutter in Kansas City and interest in astronomy. He also recounts family traditions and celebrations, and getting involved as a technical trainer when personal computers were first made available.
