The 26th Occasional paper of the University of Utah's American West Center, consisting of several items intended to supplement the text, Utah: a Hispanic History. The first item contains a detailed treatment of the Spanish and Mexican historical periods of the Southwest. An essay, "Folk Arts of Northern New Mexico," gives background to a filmstrip produced by the Mexican American Documentation project concerning the culture and crafts of New Mexico, and is accompanied by the text of the filmstrip's narrative. An extensive bibliography follows. |
