Description |
In Vernal, a section of land nearly eight acres was planted in grass in the fall, curbing and paving for parking was completed. Volunteers helped with landscaping. This park will be the first outdoor recreation project in Utah submitted to the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation by Utah under the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act. The installation of sanitary facilities and fencing was developed jointly by Vernal City and Uintah County with matching grants of $26,611. The park included three little league fields, one lighted regulation field, and other improvements. |
