Description |
Andrew R. McConkie announced in April of 1965 that 276 acres of cutover forest would be planted with two-year old trees. The contract was awarded to Southern Oregon Reforestation Company of Medford, Oregon. The planting began around the first of May and was finished by the middle of July. It is reported that this was the first major reforestation effort to the Ashley National Forest. See Vernal Express Articles from April 8, 1965 and July 8, 1965. |
