Description |
In 1923 the Federal Government and State Road Commission tested our native asphalt for paving roads. It was found that it could be cheaply mined and when laid with proper machinery it proved to be the greatest paving material in the country. Here men pave the intersection of Main Street and Vernal Avenue. |
