In 1916 the Whiterocks Irrigation filed on a reservoir site known as Paradise Park tributary. It was said to be one of the largest and most inexpensive in this part of the state. It is located at the foot of Mosby Mountain. The damp will be built of earth and rock, the extreme lengeht being 1350 feet with a 30-foot slope. It will have 100 feet spillway at the east end of the dam made of concrete. The top of the dam will be at least 12 feet wide. It wasn't until 1925 that the recommendation for laying the concrete and placing of the outlet pipe would begin. The object of this resrvoir is to furnish power of operating light portable sawmills in the surrounding timber. After using the water for power it will be diverted to natural channels to be used for irrigation. |
