On the left side is a Mine Derek which the skip (elevator) moved up and down. A pipe can be seen going to the left of the derek to the hoist house that is not showing in the photo. To the right side is a bin on the bottom and a bag house on the tot which is basically equibalent to a large vacuum that such the ore from the mine face. There is a 12 inch pipe going from the bag house down the hole through the derek. Also on the right is the hoist house. A cable can be seen which holds the derek from falling. |
