H.S. Soward was the chairman of the Uintah County Scrap Rubber Drive. It was in July 1942 that 105,000 pounds of rubber had been collected in the County. Local service stations were the drop off points for tires and other types of rubber to be collected where 1 cent per pound will be paid for the rubber donated. |
