Description |
Asher Merkley swings the saddle upon his pinto horse. He was a rancher and stockman. He would trail sheep to Diamond Mountain in the spring of the year. He was the son of Nelson Merkley Jr. and Keturah Peterson Merkley. He married Birda Lewis on August 2, 1920. They lived most of the married life in a home on 1500 West where the Kid's Canal runs. The couple had two sons and two daughters. He passed away on February 14, 1947 and is buried in the Vernal Memorial Park. |
