UHS Football Team

These photographs were taken for the 1940-1941 edition of the Uintah High School Yearbook. They are located on page 76. The photograph in the upper left corner is of a football game. The caption is: "Johnson drives his way through for the first down." The portraits in the left column are of, from top to bottom: Harold Odekirk, W. Peterson, Ralph Kennard, Melvin Hodgkinson, and Hoyt Fowler. The portraits in the right column are of, from top to bottom: Harold Hugo Hullinger, W. Caldwell, Varl Haws, LaRay Eaton, and Walter ("Walt") Bowden. NOTE: LaRay Eaton who excelled at football and was 17 years old passed away on September 4, 1941 following an operation for a ruptured appendix.
